AB CUBE NEWS: Galaxy product launch – key takeaways
Here we take a moment to reflect on the key takeaways from AB Cube’s last webinar of 2024.
As part of our development strategy towards a close-to-touchless case intake, we presented the latest functionalities of our safety database and all the modules now available to streamline your day-to-day activities.
We introduced you to our latest addition to the Galaxy module, Webform, which allows smooth adverse event reports form creation, directly plugged to your SafetyEasy database. We also unveiled the latest CasEasy AI and Literature Manager functionalities updates. We showcased, through a concrete example, how our API connection works, integrating EvidentIQ’s Marvin EDC system to SafetyEasy.
These new tools deliver a compelling return on investment – helping your business to save both time and money and reducing the manual task burden for your safety team to the minimum.
UPCOMING: Our next webinar will take place in March 2025 (date to be confirmed) and will unveil the latest additions to our AB Cube Galaxy – our new Email2Case and Intake modules. For a sneak preview of their exciting capabilities, head to the ‘Trends & Innovations To Watch in 2025’ article in this newsletter.
AB CUBE NEWS: We’re partnering with EvidentIQ

We are delighted to officially announce our strategic partnership with EvidentIQ!
One of the major takeaways from our recent meetings during the autumn conference season is that customers – and the wider industry – are looking for ways to improve and increase collaboration between different safety-related departments to gain greater efficiency.
Taking a closer look at the potential for collaboration, we identified that investigators in clinical operations and PV teams do not necessarily interact with each other. Now, more and more users are asking us to map and connect these functions via our SafetyEasy® Suite platform.
To complement our safety database and reduce manual processes in your day-to-day operations, AB Cube offers an API Connection to seamlessly connect any of your external systems to your safety database as part of our next-generation Galaxy modules.
For Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, the main benefit of integration with your safety system is that it reduces the risk of discrepancies, improves data quality and – at the heart of all of our work – improves patient safety. This patient-centric approach proves to be cost-efficient as well as generating a gold mine of information.
In our journey to make safety and clinical operations easier for our customers, we have already connected our safety platform to several EDC systems available on the market. We are now proud to be forging a new strategic partnership with our sister company EvidentIQ and its Marvin EDC system.
To launch this collaboration, AB Cube participated in EvidentIQ’s Annual conference in November in Munich, where we highlighted the technical integration of these two industry-leading systems and outlining the benefits your safety team can gain.

INDUSTRY MOVES: Trends & Innovations To Watch in 2025
The vigilance and drug safety landscape is evolving at an ever-increasing pace. The seismic potential of full automation and AI is now coming into clearer view, ushering in new possibilities for transformational application across multiple areas of the safety process. Here we share an insight into the industry trends and coming AB Cube Innovations that PV and safety leaders should look out for over the coming year.
- Accelerating automatic case creation
SafetyEasy® Suite and our extended Galaxy of solutions continue to lead the industry in delivering the ability to automatically convert unstructured data into cases – a functionality that is highly valued by our customers. We’ll be continuing to evolve our suite of Galaxy modules over the coming year to incorporate further advanced automatic case creation capabilities that can speed up and simplify ISCR intake – saving valuable time and dramatically reducing manual effort for your safety team.
- Global regulatory readiness
We’re full steam ahead with preparations for the roll-out of new regulations this year by the US FDA and the Swiss national authority. Our core SafetyEasy database is ready for the changes, and we’ll continue to ensure full compliance with the latest mandates. We’re also excited to announce that SafetyEasy will be newly in line with Korean regulations this year, in a significant addition to our global compliance footprint. Finally, we’re working on adding for compliance for Japan – watch this space towards the end of 2025.
- Coming in 2025: new Galaxy modules for full automation
We’re very excited to be debuting several new Galaxy modules this year that deliver full automation using AI technology at every stage.
Our new Email2Cases module will offer automation creation of cases from emails – a major advance that will save valuable time for your busy safety team. Email2Cases is seamlessly integrated with our CasEasy module – enabling cases to be created both from the body text of emails and their attachments.
Our IntakEasy module will offer the ability to automatically create pre-cases – capturing key information from emails, PDFs, gateways, medical information or any relevant data source and building a temporary case within SafetyEasy. This new capability will allow safety teams to effortlessly manage and validate this initial information, either rejecting it or creating a real case for processing.
- AI gains traction
The emergence from China of Deep Seek’s latest AI chatbot looks set to be a game-changer for the ubiquitous implementation of generative AI technology. According to the company, its challenger AI tool has been built at a fraction the cost of the current Large Language Model-based chatbots that dominate the market, leveraging fewer advanced (and expensive) chips. This lower cost approach potentially makes deploying advanced AI much more cost-effective, which could well increase traction and deployment of AI functionality in wide range of applications.
- Real-World Data gets integrated
Strongly linked to the adoption of AI technologies is the growing importance of harnessing Real-World Evidence (RWD) to inform decision-making and to more accurately determine the patient benefit/risk of medical products, as derived from an analysis of Real-World Data (RWD). NICE defines real-world data as data relating to patient health, experience or care delivery that is collected from outside the context of a highly controlled clinical trial. From a safety perspective, this includes capturing passive data from a variety of sources – for example, from registries, social media content, and consumer devices such as Apple watches – to enable earlier and more sophisticated signal detection.
The future of pharmacovigilance will be driven by the ability to integrate increasing volumes of RWD data streams into AI-powered systems that can analyse that data much better and faster to provide a clearer understanding of medical products usage and risk. AB Cube offers the capability to both easily capture this information and seamlessly create cases, plus perform advanced data analytics of this key information through the data visualization tools that are integrated in our Galaxy of solutions. The future is integrated and, with SafetyEasy, the future is already here.
